PointStar Cloud Consultancy Agency is looking for a Full Time Cloud Server Engineer (L2/L3) to join our Amazon Web Services (AWS) team. Founded in 2008, we are a leading AWS Solutions Partner in SouthEast Asia.

Responsibilities include:
Server Setup/Migration: Setup server clusters with high availability, fault tolerance and auto-scaling. Migrate existing applications onto AWS CloudServer Maintenance: Schedule image Backups, daily database snapshots, and vulnerability checking.Server Monitoring: Put in place monitoring systems and monitor server metrics.Server Support: Support our customers via ticket based workflow and provide regular customer updates ongoing projectsPerformance/Load Testing: Peform load testing projects based on either commercial or open source cloud testing toolsSolution Design: Be able to recommend, implement and/or deploy AWS services to clients such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon SimpleDB/RDS databases, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), etc.Consult: Be able to work present and advice customers on Solutions.Solution Delivery: Be able to perform migrations, implementations and deployment of new or existing applications to cloud using AWS cloud services.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Computer Science degree or equivalent.At least 2 years of relevant experience in a datacentre environment or similar.Hands-on experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting *nix systems in production environmentsExperience working with databases such as MySQL and NoSQL
Preferred Qualifications:
IT/Computer Science or Engineering DegreeGood command of written and spoken English.Possess 3 or more years of IT implementation experience in a variety of Linux environmentsFamiliarity with AWS technologies EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, Auto-scalingHands-on experience on AWS deployment in a production environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding customer service.Prior Experience working in a Support Oriented Environment as a L2/L3 EngineerStrong Networking fundamentalsExperience working with development teams.Enjoys challenges, can be flexible with their schedule, knows how to manage their time and stress levelsExperience in a startup environment is a plus
